St. Raphael's Priory was established in 1985, as the center of the SSPX apostolate for Western Canada, to carry on the work done previously by Father Yves Normandin. At that time, the chapel and the rectory were located on Giroux Street, in St. Boniface. In October 1990, we purchased a protestant church, as well as two houses off McKenzie Street. This move allowed us to have large more spacious facilities. St. Raphael's Priory is now also the home of Convictions magazine. The actual size of the congregation is about 150.
